Another concept art featuring, this time features my upcoming book's titular main antagonists--Amorphs. Without spoiling anything, I draw inspiration monsters from various anime and science fiction media, such as the Grimm from RWBY, the Necromorphs from Dead Space, The Flood from Halo, Typhons from Prey and Shoggoths from At the Mountains of Madness, when designing the monsters. If any of you have questions about these creatures, let me know in the comment section below, but I'm not gonna spoil the book for you.

Note: Originally, there are tags, but since it causes my upload speed to slow down, I decide not to. Sorry.

Once upon a time, I was in the playground with friends and we loved to play pretend, so I would always pretend to be an animal of some sort.. :'D One day I decided that animal was going to be a husky puppy. I gave her a name, and became so engulfed in this character that as soon as I went home after school that day, I opened up MS Paint and drew her. She was dark blue with green eyes, because hey, that's totally the color huskies are, right? :P

I got really into character design that one time and created hundreds of characters over the years, some I grew fond of, and some I scrapped, some I sadly can't use anymore because of personal reasons, but all made with love and all being a part of me in some way. <3

With that, I kind of forgot about this girl, my very first original character that I drew and designed. Or, I forgot to actually draw her and make a storyline or so... but often found myself sketching her.

Returning to digital art recently, particularly to drawing non-realistic animals, has been difficult. I felt like a fish in the water but at the same time on land: the muscle memory is there, but I had years of issues with mental and physical health and any time I tried to come back to it and create some new big interesting character, they didn't feel like me. They weren't connected to my life or memories and I tried to detach myself from them as much as I could so that I could create meaningful art without having to pour myself into it(I know, an odd way of thinking.) I also have been struggling with actually just being me, I struggle with adulthood and the idea of it. If I had the choice, I would have let myself stay young and a child forever. So, it felt uncomfortable to try to create art I used to make 15 years ago, art like the one I used to post on dA and other sites and make online friends and just enjoy living and drawing and loving my silly little colorful characters and their stories while having fun with friends. All because society expects you to grow up and actually act adult in every moment of your life, and I never wanted to, but reluctantly tried to fit in with that neurotypical idea for years, which caused a lot of hurt.

I was thinking about it some time ago and said... f*** it. I don't have to let my inner child die just because the world thinks it's immature to enjoy drawing colorful animals that talk. It's not my only interest but it's something that brings me a sense of peace and fun in a world that's.. kind of falling apart, yeah.

Drawing this made me feel good. So, this is my old girl from 2006, her design hasn't changed whatsoever. The one thing that will though is her name - if anyone has any suggestions let me know. She will be my main character from now on as she was always destined to be. ;v; <3

Domichen is a member of the tyrannosaurid family where their Asian ancestors survived the KT extinction event, migrated across Europe and Africa 34 million years ago. Their slender build allows them to reach speed up to 20 MPH, but while not as fast or strong as many other predatory mammals and incapaple of hunting large prey, Domichens are specially adapted to hunt terrestrial primates, such as baboons, chimps, gorillas and even humans. They hunt in packs, but unlike other pack hunting animals capable of taking down large prey, Domichens are mesocarnivores where they mostly feed on small and mid-size prey, mainly primates, and only rely on herding where they use variety of tactics that allows to disorient or isolate their prey, allowing the individuals to pick them off one at a time for food or to give prey to the queen and her offspring. Their snouts are long and narrow with thin serrated teeth where the Domichens go for the prey's throat where they're unable to cry out for other members, and never let go until their prey is dead. They live in thick dense forests where they hide from predators where their mature dominant female nurtures her young while her subordinates keep guard and patrol the area for any intruder they come across. Much like the spotted hyena, Domichens live in a compex social hierarchy where the dominant female is in charge of the slightly smaller and slender subordinates where immature females possess the same anatomy as males to establish dominance until when the matriarch dies, the strongest female would take over where they grew their sizes, molts her crests and deflate their throat sacs. Males of the family, when they become fully grown, they move from their past generation where they seek to find a new colony to mate and become subordinates. Domichens are nocturnal hunters where they spend in forests sleeping during the daytime, and during night time, the hungry clans patrol the plains where they seek for any primate they can find. Domichens possess high intelligence as they can adapt quickly to succeed in their hunt when prey becomes more significant, and when their territory is compromize, the hierarchs would move to another suitable habitat, and even migrate across different continents where they find their unusual prey in this area too. It's no wonder in this universe, humans are unable to overpopulate and overhunt megafauna all over the globe where they become from hunter gatherers to agricultural civilizations where they build fortresses and perimeters to defend themselves, forcing them to become scavengers than predators, and throughout different cultures, they painted them as extremely cunning demons that can't be exterminated and stalk in the night picking off even the most skilled hunters one by one, or serve as cautionary tales of attempt on dominance over nature. In ancient cultures, they were refer to as "Angels of Death".

Note: This is the first creature article in Alternate Holocene, and Domichens are not the only creatures added here as I will feature more. Pardon the erased area, it was originally a paleoart of an Acheroraptor I drew when I was a teen before I erase it as I realize it wasn't worth it.

Edit: I edit the size to make the animal specifically adapted to hunt primates.

This is one of my concept art sketches from my upcoming young adult science fantasy novel, Dinosaurs vs Monsters, and to avoid spoilers, the only one I'm showing you are four main characters in the story.

Chloe Emmet is a halfbreed Animal-Ear cat who has difficulties with her team due to her social anxiety disorder but is selfless and loyal leader of Team CLOI, and because she is raised by a lovely family in a cabin, she loves everything nature and not afraid of even the most dangerous of wildlife.

Lara Howard is a hairess of InPrim (International Primal Crystal Technologies) with her limbs and eyes surgically replaced with prosthetics only for her Mage preperation, and is a former friend of Chloe as both are dinosaur enthusiasts until her harsh criticism and entitled behavior broke their friendship apart.

Olivia Garcia is a quiet antisocial Anthro shark who was an orphan before she became a member of the Anthro/Animal-Ear civil rights organization--The Created--but she rejected and keep her idenity a secret after they commited horrible actions against humans.

Indigo Fukuzawa is a hyperactive, excitable, quirky and outgoing human girl who gossips with her friends and refuses to accept help due to her overconfidence of her super strength when fighting Amorphs, and if a former criminal of a mafia--The Company--which got her parents killed.

Update: I had to change a bit of distinguishing features by smoothing their breast areas and adding exoskeleton that helps with the muscle fiber of the Nanosuit after I've done my research on real-life body armor that even female wearers can also wear male body armor easily compare to impractical fictional armor. Contrary to popular belief, even real knight armor is as light as modern-day armor, even the wearer still gives speed and mobility, and the real reason why they never be worn again is because of introduction firearms that can puncture knight armor and modern armor is designed to stop most firearms.
