Draekana - Dictionary
Aken: A species of intelligent animals. They are the second most population species on Draekana. They have animal-like characteristics depending on their sub-species but walk around on two legs.
Alignment: The Religion that one falls under. Your Alignment is signified by the brand you have.
Avelence: Someone who doesn't worship a god. Followers are called Avelents. Avelents have either no brand or a black brand. People that are uneligible to be branded are not Avelents.
Benevolence: The religion of Irridum, the Sun God, one of the Solstice Gods and a Minor God. Followers are called Benevolents. In order to join, you must be an adult and have been in service of a church for five years.
Brands: Tattoos given to religious followers. Benevolents will have golden tattoos and Malevolents will have pastel blue tattoos. The size and complexity of the tattoo determinds the power and status given to the follower. The bigger and more complex the brand, the stronger power the follower will have and the tighter control the correlating god has over that follower.
Celas: Refers to Draconian made mechs with intelligence or a Half-Mechs.
Celestial Ore: The rarest, strongest and hardest ore in Draekana. Most of the capital cities were built out of it to prevent natural weather and other from deteriorating the buildings.
Draconian: The highest populating species on Draekana with intelligence. They have a dragon-like appearance and can transform across a range from mostly human to completely dragon.
Draekana: The continent that the Draconians, Aken and other live on. It is split into 9 regions based on the 8 natural elements with 1 bringing them all together.
Dragonip: Catnip for dragons. Has a tendency to return them to primordial instincts but in a hyper state of euphoria. Includes playful hunting, 'the zoomies' and a temporary loss of thought. Sold with great value on the black market and underground drug dealings. Commonly used by doctors in small doses to induce calmness, sleepiness and forgetfulness.
Drake: A Draconian being regarded as an individual.
Draken: Plural for Drake.
Drakling: Baby dragons.
Elders: The rulers of each region of Draekana, usually the decendants of previous Elders.
Elemental Crystal: Physical embodiments of the 8 natural elements. They are the strongest and purest forms and sources of the natural elements.
Elemental Gods: The gods that govern the 8 elements.
Entaike: Also sometimes refered to as Snow Dragons, they're a parasite-like species of gemstone that use magic to control nearby matter, typically snow. They aren't hostile nor try to harm living creatures but are often shunned in society as dangerous or creepy.
Frogrett: The standard measurement of length in Draekana equal to 1 foot.
Half-Mech: A cyborg.
Jelly: Most common pet in Sentalis. Their bodies are made out of a bubbly-like see through substance. They can't live outside of water but have learned magic to envelope themselves in a bubble of water so they can float around on land, however they still risk drying out if their bubble ever pops.
Loquid: The most common house pet in Lumitarus. A water cat like creature with a lotus lily pad on its head. They're bodies are made of water and they live mostly in ponds.
Major Gods: Celestial class dragons that embody concepts and have great power over Draekana, second only to Raksha.
Malevolence: The religion of Lumina, the Moon God, one of the Solstice Gods and a Minor God. Followers are called Malevolents. In order to join, you must prove your faith in a non-life-threatening test of courage.
Minor Gods: Celestial class dragons that embody natural elements and have substantial power over Draekana, second only to Major Gods and Raksha.
Phyllia: A species of intelligent plants. They are the third most population species on Draekana. They have a mostly human like appearance with several different varients ranging from mostly wooden to mostly flora. Their sizes range depending on their base plant and they can adopt special abilities centered around their base plant.
Runes: Runes are written, etched or constructed symbols that bind magic to objects. The runes themselves have no particular meaning other than the magic they bind but a standard has slowly been established over time to help further progress the every day use and future study of runes.
Salamander Cat: The most common pet in Flairus. Their bodies are made out of fire and their markings are shown with small magma rocks, typically in a stripy pattern down their back.
Sherval: Standard currency in Draekana. A shard-like Sherval is worth 1 while a slate-like Sherval is worth 5, 10 or more depending on its size, coloration and engraving. 5's are small and black like the shards, 10's are medium sized and black, 20's are medium sized and black with blue streaks, 50's are large and black, 100's are large and black with blue streaks. The values are engraved into each slated Sherval.
Solstice Gods: The gods that govern the sun, moon and stars.
Spaciotemporal Gods: The gods that govern space and time.
Tolem: The most common house pet in Terrtetua. Literally tiny golems. They are made up of small rocks shaped loosely like Draconians. They love to help out around houses or businesses.
Trykendor: A creature, usually in the form of a drake, made entirely out of wood and leaves. Similar to Entaike, however Entaike originate from a parasitic stone typically found in their foreheads while Trykendors live all on their own. Trykendors are also considered Forest Watchers.
