The region of Drakalis consists mostly of pine trees and oak trees, grown ages old into ginormous trees. The lack of sun due to the vast canopies provides welcome shade to Shadow Dragons and the like. Towns and cities are built inside the think trunks of the massive forests and in the lower canopies above them. The weather is consistently off and on, but the high canopies usually block the brunt of the weather, be it sunny, windy or rainy.

Residents usually consist of Dark Dragons, Shadow Dragons, Bone Dragons and the like. Such dragons are stronger in in the dark and at night. They tend to have mischievious personalities and are often associated with theft and crime. Although they do like mysteries and pranks, their reputation has been a little blown out of proportion. They also tend to live in secluded villages instead of open cities. The capital is much more opent to visitors, but the path to get there is a wee bit of a maze. Drakalis doesn't have many non Dark Class dragons because of their poor reputation and secrecy.

Summary: As the Elder of the Dark Element, Drakalis Flairus created the nights illuminated by the moon. He was a shy and soft spoken but firm leader and granted Draconian's with a mind and intelligence to think. His shyness was adopted into the way he ran things. He often kept to himself even during meetings with his counsel but his laws were often just and thought through. Even without Lumitarus's foresight, he could see that tensions were starting to form along the boarders. Since then, he emphasized more on keeping his denizens hidden over a strong standing army. After the death of his twin, he became much more secluded and often shunned his duties, even in the face of the other regions ever enchroaching upon his territory. When Drakalis passed, his tears were turned into the Elemental Crystal of Dark and were hidden within the branches of the tree where the Capital resides. 

"I used to believe that the world would be much more peaceful if everyone could think like we could. It would be a dear blessing. There would be so much less bloodshed. What a foolish lie I told you, told myself. Even if I stripped away everyone's minds now, nothing would change. There would only be more blood shed. I'm sorry, Rokturus, I've let you down.
